Songwriter and musician Dylan Hicks, whose debut novel, Boarded Windows, was published in May by Coffee House Press, recorded an album as a companion piece to the book. Dylan Hicks Sings Bolling Greene, featuring "West Texas Winds," is named after the fictional seventies country music star for whom the book's protagonist, Wade Salem, plays bass guitar.
