Bio: 

Emily Schulten is the author of three poetry collections, including Easy Victims to the Charitable Deceptions of Nostalgia, the 2023 White Pine Press Poetry Prize winner, and The Way a Wound Becomes a Scar, a 2023 Eric Hoffer Award Finalist. She is the recipient of a 2024 Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship and the winner of the 2024 Ralph Angel Poetry Prize, the 2023 Geri Digiorno Multi-Genre Prize, and the 2016 Erskine J. Prize for Poetry. Schulten is a professor of English and creative writing and the Director of CFK Poetics at The College of the Florida Keys and the 2024-2026 Poet Laureate of the City of Key West, where she lives with her husband and their son.
