Bio: 

Meia Geddes was born in Hefei, China, adopted and raised in Sacramento, California, and is based in Boston, Massachusetts as a writer and librarian at the Boston Public Library. She is the author of a collection of lyrical missives addressed to the world as body, concept, and stranger, Love Letters to the World, and a novella about vocation and finding one's place in the world, The Little Queen. Geddes received her Bachelor's degree in Literary Arts and English from Brown University and Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons University. She has been the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship grant to South Africa, Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing Leonard A. Slade Jr. Poetry Fellowship, American Library Association Spectrum Scholarship, and Brown University James P. Dunn Scholarship. Geddes loves artmaking, bookmaking, singing, walking in parks and forests, photography, and painting birds, among other things.
