Joanna Urban is an author and public relations strategist whose short stories have appeared in Sunspot Lit, Discretionary Love, and Grace & Gravity, among other publications. A nominee for Best Small Fictions, she has been awarded fellowships from the D.C. Commission on Arts & Humanities and was the 2022 Italia Scholar at the Leopardi Writing Conference in Recanati, Italy. She is currently at work on her debut novel, a coming-of-age story about an aspiring psychic and her teen daughter. Joanna lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and rescue dog, Mysa.
