The Liberty States Fiction Writers 12th Annual Conference features a line-up of more published authors and industry professionals who will share their expertise and experience. Located at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hamilton, New Jersey, we offer a full day of education and networking for those who are published or want to be published. Keynote Presentation is THIRTY YEARS OF PUBLISHING AND WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR AUTHORS by Lori Perkins, Publisher, Riverdale Avenue Books. With over thirty years experience in the publishing industry as an agent, author, and publisher, Lori Perkins has seen how the industry has changed and will share her thoughts and experiences on those changes. Ms. Perkins will also discuss what she envisions as the future of publishing for authors and how to prepare and adapt to meet that future.
There will also be editor/agent pitching sessions and workshops. These include: Brand Land: What Is Author Brand and Why Readers Care by Carol Van Den Hende; Blending Genres by Elle Hartford; Creating Conflict by Stacey Wilk; Writing Believable Police Tactics and Fight Scenes by K.M. Fawcett and Erik Heller; and social media workshops by bestselling authors Samantha Ann and Caridad Pineiro. A free book fair takes place in the afternoon.
