Havik: The Las Positas College Journal of Arts, Literature, & Academic Writing, founded in 1978, has served as a student-led publication for the past four decades. Their journal was established by David A. Wright, an English Department faculty member at Las Positas College.

Havik won First Place Best of Show in Literary Magazines at the Spring 2022, Spring 2023, and Spring 2024 Associated Collegiate Press national conferences.

Havik accepts submissions yearly from February 1 to February 28. It publishes poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, photography, artwork, and experimental work from around the world.
