Bio: 

Genevieve DeGuzman (she/her) is a Philippine-born writer based in Portland, Oregon. She has been the recipient of the Oregon Literary Fellowship, as well as fellowships and support from AWP, Literary Arts, Poets & Writers, Oregon Arts Commission, Vermont Studio Center, and Can Serrat. As a poet, she was a finalist for competitions by Alice James Books and Black Lawrence Press, and has won the Atticus Review contest selected by Roberto Carlos Garcia, been twice-nominated for Best New Poets, and featured in the Poetry Moves program for C-TRAN, the Portland Book Festival, and the Cultural Landscape Series for Oregon ArtsWatch. Her work appears in The Adroit, Bear Review, Folio, Nimrod, phoebe, RHINO, and other publications. Raised near San Diego, she attended Columbia University and worked in finance and international development in New York and overseas. Her debut collection Karaoke at the End of the World is forthcoming in 2026 with JackLeg Press.
