Bio:

The only details about me that might interest you, as a reader, are that I’ve taught English and French long enough to be considered a “veteran teacher,” and while I still feel awkward calling myself “a poet,” it deeply touches me when others refer to me by that moniker.

Writing has opened doors I never expected, and I’m thankful for the opportunities it has brought. In 2017, Naomi Shihab Nye awarded me a Geneva Writers’ Literary Prize, and in 2021, two of my poems were featured on Billy Collins’ Poetry Broadcast. I’ve published two poetry collections—Galoshes (2020) and Pollywogs (2024)—and my work has been widely published literary journals, anthologies, and newspapers, including The New York Times, Crab Orchard Review, Eclectica Magazine,Maine Sunday Telegraph, Moonstone Arts, Stoneboat Literary Journal, Necessary Fiction, and pacificREVIEW.
