Jai Hamid Bashir is a Pakistani- American and second-generation artist. A graduate of Columbia University, she recently won Zocalo’s Ninth Annual Poetry Prize, and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net several times. Her work has appeared in the American Poetry Review, Black Warrior Review, The Adroit Journal, Asian American Writers’ Workshop, Palette Poetry, and others. She has work forthcoming from POETRY Magazine, Crazyhorse, and Arkansas International.
