Ann Kathryn Kelly writes from New Hampshire's Seacoast region. She's an editor with Barren Magazine, a columnist with WOW! Women on Writing, and she works in the technology sector. Ann leads writing workshops for a nonprofit that offers therapeutic arts programming to people living with brain injury.
She's written a memoir about how, for 40 years, a tumor bled in her brain, controlling who she'd been all her life—and how a dangerous daylong surgery freed her from its grasp. Her memoir manuscript was longlisted for the First Pages Prize in 2021 and was a finalist for the Sandra Carpenter Prize for Creative Nonfiction, also in 2021. Ann's essays have appeared in a number of literary journals, and she has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
