Elaine Cosgrove is from Sligo, Ireland. Transmissions, her debut book of poems published by Dedalus Press, has been described as “stunning” in its exploration of vulnerability, connection, distances and belonging. It was favourably reviewed in Poetry Ireland Review, Los Angeles Review of Books, The Irish Times, and The Manchester Review. Elaine has an MPhil in Creative Writing from Trinity College Dublin. She lived in Galway city for many years working in International Summer Schools and a Regional Support Agency for community and volunatry organisations in the west of Ireland. She lived in Atlanta USA for 5 years, working at a university, and then the Consulate General of Ireland US Southeast. She has recently returned to Ireland, and is working on her second collection of poetry.
