Bio: 

Julie's poems, articles and translations from French have been published across the US, the UK, Ireland, Canada, Mexico and South Korea. Her poems have appeared in Ink, Sweat and Tears, Southword Literary Journal, Shearsman, Mslexia, Tears in the Fence and Envoi and she was selected as one of the 50 Best New British and Irish Poets 2018 (Eyewear Publishing). Her work has been rewarded and shortlisted for several international prizes, including the 2017 and 2018 Winchester Writers’ Festival Poetry Prize and The London Magazine Poetry Prize 2016 (UK).

A London-based writer, Julie was born and raised in the south-west of France, at the crossroads of three cultures: French, Basque and Spanish. She has lived in France, Ireland, the UK and Italy. She earned a BA in Anglophone studies from the University of Paris Diderot, an MA in Early Modern History from King’s College London and an M.Phil in Literary Translation from Trinity College Dublin. She is currently completing a PhD on Sylvia Plath at the University of Huddersfield.
