Bio: 

Carla M.​​ Wilson has been called a "postmodern appropriationist" and a "very talented writer." She earned an MFA in fiction from San Diego State University in 2013 and a B.A. in Communications from UC San Diego in 1995. She has studied art, design, languages and literatures, and completed a portion of her M.A. coursework in art history. She has published works of fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry, and has exhibited and published artwork in various venues. Her first book, Impossible Conversations, a collection of fictitious dialogues with infamous art makers of the 20th century, was published by Black Scat Books in 2015 and later reviewed in American Book Review by Eckhard Gerdes. Her second volume, Curious Impossibilities: Ten Cinematic Riffs (2017) features Wilson’s literary homage to key directors of significant art films. She lives with her husband in San Diego and is currently working on her third book.
