Bio: 

Cindy Huyser's debut full-length collection, Cartography, was published by 3: A Taos Press in 2025. Her chapbook,  Burning Number Five: Power Plant Poems, was co-winner of the 2014 Blue Horse Press Poetry Chapbook Contest. Her poetry has received multiple Pushcart Prize nominations and has appeared in journals including The Comstock Review, Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review, and San Pedro River Review. Huyser co-edited Bearing the Mask: Southwestern Persona Poems (Dos Gatos Press, 2016) with Scott Wiggerman, and has collaborated with Dos Gatos Press and Kallisto-Gaia Press as an editor for the Texas Poetry Calendar (2009-2014 and 2019 editions).

Huyser has been a juried reader in the Scissortail Creative Writing Festival, The People's Literary Festival, the Houston Poetry Fest, and Houston's "Public Poetry" series, and is the host of the long-running BookWoman Second Thursday poetry reading series in Austin, Texas. She holds an MFA in Writing from Pacific University (2024).
