Bio: 

Lisa Stice is a poet, literary activist, mother, military spouse, and the author of five full-length poetry collections, From Reluctant Earth (forthcoming), Letters from Conflict (2024), Forces (2021), Permanent Change of Station (2018), and Uniform (2016), and a chapbook, Desert (2018). She is an award-winning poet who volunteers as a mentor with various writing/art organizations, as an assistant editor with Middle West Press (2023-present), and as Visual Arts Editor for Collateral Journal. She received a BA in English literature from Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University) and an MFA in creative writing and literary arts from the University of Alaska Anchorage. While it is difficult to say where home is, she currently lives in North Carolina with her husband, daughter and dog. In addition to the publications listed below, some of her poems are forthcoming in or published in Constellate Literary Journal, Zoomoozophone Review, Celestial Musings: Poetry Inspired by the Night Sky (Poetry Contests for a Cause), The Song Is, 1932 Quarterly, Escapism Literary Magazine, Luminous Echoes: A Poetry Anthology, Poetry Leaves, Paw Prints in Verse: Poems about Pets anthology (Poetry Contests for a Cause), and Poets and War.
