Bio: 

Lori Lamothe is an assistant English professor, writer and the author of four full-length collections, Tulip Fever (Kelsay Books), Trace Elements (Aldrich Press), Happily (Aldrich Press) and Kirlian Effect (FutureCycle Press), as well as several chapbooks. She holds a Masters in English, as well as an MFA from the University of Houston-Victoria.

Her poetry, fiction and nonfiction articles have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Blackbird, CALYX, DIAGRAM, Hayden's Ferry, History of Yesterday, The Journal, NewsBreak, Painted Bride Quarterly, Seattle Review, Third Coast, The Writing Cooperative and other magazines. She has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize four times and has received two "Best of the Net" nominations. A former baker, policy analyst and security guard, she now teaches community college full-time.
