Bio:

Laura M Kaminski grew up in Nigeria, went to school in New Orleans, and currently lives in rural Missouri. She serves as an Editor at Right Hand Pointing, and also serves as Managing Editor and curator of the Around This Fire response chapbook series at Praxis Magazine Online.

Her most recent collection is ANCHORHOLD, available from Amazon and other booksellers, edited by Wale Owoade, foreword by j.lewis, and introduction by J.K. Anowe, with cover art by Robert Rhodes. THE HERETIC'S HYMNAL: 99 NEW AND SELECTED POEMS is forthcoming from Babylon Books / Balkan Press in 2019.

Prizes won:

"Hush" (from LAST PENNY THE SUN) received an Honorable Mention in the Tom Howard/Margaret Reid Poetry Contest 2015 at Winning Writers, and "Anchorhold" (from ANCHORHOLD) received an Honorable Mention in the same contest in 2016. Full-length collection CONSIDERING LUMINESCENCE was one of five finalists recognized in The Lascaux Review's 2015 Poetry Collection Contest. International Merit Award recognition in Atlanta Review's 2015 International Poetry Competition. Pushcart nominations from Conclave: A Journal of Character (2013), The Lake (2015), Expound (2015), and Gnarled Oak (2016). Two Best of the Net Nominations from Synchronized Chaos (2015 & 2016). "loved, further, crackles" placed 3rd in the 2014 Uut Poetry/ What3Words contest. Video artists Nic Sebastian, Marie Craven, Marc Neys, Jutta Pryor, Paul Broderick, Dale Wisely, and Eduardo Yague have each released poem-films based on Laura M Kaminski's poems.
