Bio:

Andrew Coburn, born in 1932 in Exeter, New Hampshire, has lived most of his adult life in the towns outside Boston that figure in his fiction. Following US military service that took him to Frankfurt, West Germany, he attended Suffolk University. He then joined the staff of the gritty Lawrence, Massachusetts Eagle-Tribune, launching a career as an award-winning crime reporter. Coburn has been translated into 14 languages and, in 1987, was awarded an honorary doctorate of letters for his service to both journalism and fiction. Three of his novels were made into French films and released in France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, and Sweden. Inveterate Yankees fan despite his New England roots, and father of five, he lives in Andover, Massachusetts with his wife, Casey, a public relations executive who currently teaches creative writing at a women's jail.
