Bio: 

The author of four books, Mark Liebenow grew up in Wisconsin near John Muir’s boyhood home reading about Muir, Aldo Leopold, and Sigurd Olson. When he moved to California, he discovered Yosemite. Liebenow writes about nature, poetry, and the theology of fools. He has written about grief for the Huffington Post and The Grief Dialogues. His poems have been set to music by composers Stephen Heinemann, an eight-minute work for chorus and soprano saxophone, a jazz song recorded on a Robert Levy CD, a choral piece by John Orfe, and piano works by David Henkelmann and John Arrowood, Jr.
