Peter Kispert is the author of I Know You Know Who I Am, a story collection published by Penguin Books in 2020. He is currently Associate Editor at William Morrow, a flagship imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, where he edits primarily literary fiction. Previously, he was a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Creative Writing in the MFA program at UCF, where he served as served as the Editor-in-Chief of The Florida Review.

While Editor-in-Chief of Indiana Review, he founded Blue Light Books, an annual book prize partnership with Indiana University Press, and served as a regular site columnist for Ploughshares. Peter's writing has most recently appeared in The New York Times Book Review, Esquire, Sewanee Review, Story, and other publications. He is represented by Levine Greenberg Rostan Agency (literary) and Creative Artists Agency (tv/film), and lives in New York.
