Bio: 

Lisa Fay Coutley is the author of ERRATA (Southern Illinois University Press, forthcoming 2015), winner of the 2014 Crab Orchard Series in Poetry Open Competition Award, selected by Adrienne Su. Her chapbook, IN THE CARNIVAL OF BREATHING (Black Lawrence Press, 2011), won the Fall 2009 Black River Chapbook Competition, and BACK-TALK (Articles Press, 2010), won the ROOMS Chapbook Contest. Her poems have been awarded a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, scholarships from the Bread Loaf and Sewanee Writers' Conferences, and an Academy of American Poets Levis Prize. Recent and forthcoming poetry and prose publications include Kenyon Review, Crab Orchard Review, Crazyhorse, Gulf Coast, and Poets & Writers. She holds an MFA from Northern Michigan University, where she served as poetry editor for Passages North, and she earned her PhD candidate at the University of Utah, where she served as poetry editor for Quarterly West. She is Associate Professor of Creative Writing-Poetry at Snow College.
