Bio: 

Christina Cook is the author of A Strange Insomnia (Aldrich Press, 2016), Ricochet (Casa de Cinco Hermanas Press, 2016), and Lake Effect (Finishing Line Press), which won the 2012 Jean Pedrick Chapbook Prize. Her poems, translations, essays, and book reviews have appeared in numerous journals, including Prairie Schooner, New Ohio Review, Crab Orchard Review, and Hayden’s Ferry Review. She is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Writing and Rhetoric at The Pennsylvania State University.

Prizes won: 

Christina's chapbook, Lake Effect, (Finishing Line Press, 2012) received the Jean Pedrick Chapbook Prize from the New England Poetry Club. Two of her poems were nominated for inclusion in the 2011 Best New Poets anthology. She was also a finalist in the 2010 SLS/Fence Magazine Poetry Contest, Black Warrior Review's 2009 Poetry Prize, and the Willis Barnstone Translation Prize.
