Bio: 

Christina Cook is a poet, literary translator, essayist, and book critic. Her most recent publication is a speculative non-fiction book of poetry, prose, and translation titled Roaming the Labyrinth with Marie-Claire Bancquart. Cook’s previous publications include a poetry collection titled A Strange Insomnia and two poetry chapbooks, as well as poems, essays, book reviews, interviews, and translations that have appeared widely in journals across the U.S. and internationally. A former speechwriter and writing professor, Cook lives in State College, PA.

Prizes won: 

Christina's chapbook, Lake Effect, (Finishing Line Press, 2012) received the Jean Pedrick Chapbook Prize from the New England Poetry Club. Two of her poems were nominated for inclusion in the 2011 Best New Poets anthology. She was also a finalist in the 2010 SLS/Fence Magazine Poetry Contest, Black Warrior Review's 2009 Poetry Prize, and the Willis Barnstone Translation Prize.
