Haynes is the author of the 2010 volume _The Major Plays of Horton Foote_. His edited collection _Critical Insights: Horton Foote_ appeared in March, 2016. Haynes's poetry collections Laredo Light (Cyberwit) and Let the Whales Escape (Finishing Line Press) were published in the summer of 2019.  Heidegger Looks at the Moon appeared in 2021 from Finishing Line, followed in 2022 by The Deadly Shadow of the Wall.
