Bio: 

Sarah Mangold is a NEA Poetry Fellow and the author of Household Mechanics (New Issues), selected by C. D. Wright for the New Issues Poetry Prize, Electrical Theories of Femininity (Black Radish Books), Giraffes of Devotion (Kore Press), and the forthcoming Her Wildernes Will Be Her Manners (Fordham, selected by Cynthia Hogue for the Poets Out Loud Prize). Chapbooks include Birds I Recall (above/ground press), The Goddess Can Be Recognized By Her Step (dusie kollektiv), Cupcake Royale (above/ground press), I Meant To Be Transparent (LRL e-editions), An Antenna Called the Body (Little Red Leaves Textile Series), Parlor (dusie kollektiv; reissued above/ground), Picture of the Basket (dusie kollekitv), Boxer Rebellion (g o n g) and Blood Substitutes (Potes & Poets). She has been awarded residencies at MacDowell, The Djerassi Resident Artists Program, Willapa Bay AIR, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. She received her BA in English Literature from the University of Oklahoma and MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. From 2000-2009, she founded and edited Bird Dog, a print literary journal of innovative writing and art. Originally from Oklahoma, she now lives and works near Seattle.
