Bio:

I'm a poet and essayist, here for creativity and social justice. I love to work with groups using storytelling for change, and I've taught writing in prisons, hospitals, universities, elementary schools and with a variety of kinds of communities, such as former youth gang members, and lesbian senior citizens. I love the writing circle as a space for honesty and connection.

My work has been collected in two chapbooks, Heaven to Me (Headmistress Press) and Ammonite (Magnolia Press Collective). Poems and essays appear in Narrative, the Nation, Massachusetts Review, New Letters, Feminist Wire and beyond.

I'm a New Orleans native and I live in Austin, TX. Please get in touch if you'd like to connect!
