Bio: 

Jeannine Hall Gailey was the second Poet Laureate of Redmond, Washington. She's the author of five books of poetry: The Robot Scientist's Daughter, Unexplained Fevers (New Binay Press, 2013), She Returns to the Floating World (Kitsune Books, 2011), Becoming the Villainess (Steel Toe Books, 2006) and the winner of the 2015 Moon City Press Book Award and the SFPA's Elgin Award, Field Guide to the End of the World. Her poems were featured on NPR's The Writers Almanac, Verse Daily, and included in 2007's The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror. She was awarded a Washington State GAP grant in 2007 and won a 2007 and a 2011 Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Prize. Her poems have appeared in journals like The Iowa Review, Prairie Schooner, and American Poetry Review. She has reviewed books of poetry for The American Book Review and The Cincinnati Review, as well as The Rumpus.
