Bio: 

Stephen Haven is Core Professor of Literature and Creative Writing in the Humanities Department at Lesley University. He was the founding director of the MFA in Creative Writing Program at Ashland University, where he served as director for ten years. Later he directed the MFA in Creative Program at Lesley University. He has been a fellow or visiting writer at many universities and art centers, including the Chautauqua Institute, Meacham Workshops (University of Tennessee--Chattanooga), Michigan State Poetry Center, Yaddo, MacDowell, Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, Djerassi Foundation, Ubud International Writers Festival (Bali), Hudson Valley Writers' Center, Amherst College, Chongqing University (China), Fulbright Foundation (two years teaching in Beijing: Beijing Normal University & People's University).
