A prize of $1,000 and publication by Hub City Press is given biennially for a poetry collection. U.S. poets who have published no more than one full-length poetry collection and who currently reside in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or West Virginia and have lived there for at least two consecutive years are eligible.
