Fellowships of $5,000 and residency time at the Millay Colony for the Arts in Austerlitz, New York, will be given annually to Asian American, Arab, and Muslim poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers under the age of 30 who reside in New York City. Fellows will also receive mentorship with an established writer, access to the Asian American Writers Workshop writing space, and publication opportunities in the Margins, the online magazine of the Asian American Writers Workshop. Writers currently enrolled in a degree-granting program are ineligible. Using the online submission system, submit up to 10 pages of poetry or up to 20 pages of prose, a statement of purpose, and a CV or résumé by September 12. There is no entry fee.
