A seven-month residency from April to October, which includes a $5,000 honorarium, is given annually to a poet, a fiction writer, or a creative nonfiction writer to live and work at the Dutch Henry Homestead near the Rogue River in southwestern Oregon. The residency requires one hour of general homestead maintenance per day. A committee of PEN Northwest members will judge. The 2017 resident has already been chosen. For the 2018 residency, submit three copies of 10 pages of poetry or 20 pages of prose, a résumé, and a letter of intent with a $25 entry fee by March 1. Visit the website for complete guidelines.
