The de Groot Foundation

Ten grants of $7,000 each are given annually to emerging poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers with works-in-progress and “for whom a monetary boost could help further or complete the project.” Up to twenty Writer of Note Grants of $1,500 each are also awarded. Awardees meet virtually to discuss their projects and share ideas. Using only the online submission system, submit five pages of an unpublished poetry or prose project-in-progress, a brief bio, and a personal statement with a $22 entry fee by February 5.
