Editorial Focus
We like the experimental as well as the accessible; we love prose poems and erasures, but also sonnets and sestinas. Many people associate chapbooks with only poetry, but we're very interested in flash fiction, "literary" essays (broadly defined), memoir, novelettes/a long short story, lyric essays, and manuscripts that blend all kinds of genres together. And we love emerging writers, offering a concurrent chapbook contest just for folks who have yet to publish a chap/book, to make sure there's room for their writing in this often-competitive publishing landscape.
Tips From the Editor
We are often surprised by what manuscripts we are most drawn to. We like to produce a range of different titles, and are often excited when we receive something that's a bit different in style or genre or theme than the books we already sell. We prefer the work to be thematically linked in some way.
