Editorial Focus

Since 1974, Hit & Run Press has been publishing small editions of poetry books and broadsides. The publisher selects poems he believes are worthy of publication, often with the input of local San Francisco Bay Area poets. In 2014, Hit & Run Press launched a broadside contest in honor of William Dickey, who taught at San Francisco State University. An outside judge selects the contest winner. Judges: 2014-Tony Hoagland;2015-Forrest Gander; 2016-Mary Ruefle.
