Sacred Heart University invites applications for a tenure track, assistant professor position in the department of Languages & Literatures [2]. This position requires a PhD in Rhetoric, Composition, and Writing with preferred teaching and scholarly expertise among one or more of these areas: composition theory and multi-modal writing pedagogies, digital writing, digital humanities, cultural/multi-ethnic rhetorics, global rhetorics, creative writing, especially fiction.
We seek a candidate with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and evidence of scholarly or creative productivity.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in first year seminar, an introductory literature course, as well as upper division writing courses, and will be someone who can broaden the department's offerings in writing, work collaboratively across the University and provide service to the Department, College, and University.
