Jet Fuel Review is a student-run and faculty-advised literary magazine geared towards publishing a diverse array of writing voices and styles. Jet Fuel Review is, above all, looking for quality writing. Take care in sending us what you think is the best of your work, whether it be in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, or artwork. Please refer to the submission guidelines page for more information on length of submissions and more.
While there are specific qualities we look for in each genre, there are some general, overarching qualifications to keep in mind when sending your work to Jet Fuel Review. We’re looking for all work sent to us to have a unique aesthetic. In other words, your work should be something that can only come from you, that stems from who you are and what you believe. We’re looking for work that articulates itself well and says something interesting in its syntax, metaphors, ideas, and images. We are looking for authors who take risks with language and who write linguistically interesting pieces. When it comes to art, we expect the same kind of risk-taking when it comes to color, design, and technique.
