Honors include the 2019 Alice James Award for If This is The Age We End Discovery (forthcoming in 2021); Editors' Choice Award for turn around, BRXGHT XYXS (Agape Editions, 2019); Commissioned by the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York City for poem "Poet Wrestling with Angels in the Dark"; 2014 Poetry Fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA); 2013 CantoMundo Fellowship; the Editor's Prize for her short story “A Way out of the Colonia” in the Winter 2010 issue of Camera Obscura: A Journal of Contemporary Literature and Photography; Rackham Merit Fellowship at University of Michigan. She was a Leopold Schepp Scholar and a Rudin Scholar at New York University, and a Horace Goldsmith Scholar at Hebrew University. She has received research grants from American Jewish League for Israel and the Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan. She also won both Seth Barkas Prize for Best Short Story and the Thomas Wolfe/Phi Beta Kappa Prize for Best Collection Poetry, at New York University.
