Colby College’s Creative Writing Program is accepting applications for the 2023 Jennifer Jahrling Forese Writer-in-Residence.
The Jahrling Forese residency is a semester-long opportunity for a writer at any stage of their career to work on a new project while contributing to Colby’s thriving literary community. The Program is looking for a screenwriter for spring 2023. Duties include teaching one class designed by the resident in consultation with Program faculty, giving one public presentation, scheduling office hours, working with selected students one-on-one, and interacting with the broader Waterville community. In addition to a generous honorarium, Colby provides residents with housing in downtown Waterville and a stipend for expenses.
Qualifications: An MFA or terminal degree in a related field (or professional experience equivalent to a terminal degree), one produced screenplay, and experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
