Program Head: Writing for Diversity and Equity in Theater and Media [1]
The School of Performing Arts (PPA) in Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at Pace University invites applications for an anticipated faculty position as founding Program Head of the new BA in Writing for Diversity and Equity in Theater and Media (WDE), to launch in September 2020. The rank will be based on the individual’s experience.
The WDE program is dedicated to training a new generation of writers that embrace diversity and intersectionality through a four-year Bachelor of Arts degree program, with anticipated entering first year class of up to 16 students. Students in the program will be exposed to a wide array of narrative platforms including theater, film, television, gaming and animation.
The WDE program will be the 9th innovative program at PPA. PPA has strong connections to the entertainment industry and offers students learning and performance/creative opportunities in New York and Los Angeles as well as master classes by renowned professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in writing or substantial professional experience as well as higher education teaching experience in writing. The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate leadership and administrative skills and the ability to develop partnerships and educational opportunities for our students in both New York and Los Angeles.
