Assistant Professor in English, Full-Time, Tenure-Track [1]
The Department of English at the University of Central Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in English with a primary specialization in Composition and Rhetoric with an intersectional approach to one or more of the following areas: feminist rhetorics and pedagogies, women of color feminisms, critical race theory feminisms, transnational/postcolonial feminism to begin effective August 2020. Scholarly activities and service to the department, college, university, and community are required. Duties and Responsibilities:
The teaching load is 12 credit-hours per semester. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses in first-year composition, advanced composition, history of rhetoric, and rhetorical theory. Additional responsibilities will include mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, serving on master’s thesis and portfolio committees, participating in student recruitment and advisement, actively pursuing a substantive agenda for scholarly work, and serving on department, college, and university committees.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Composition and Rhetoric by August 1, 2020. A commitment to high-quality teaching and a dedication to service are required.
