Bio:

Julianne Couch is an author, writer, editor and teacher. She considers herself at home just about anywhere from the Rocky Mountains to the Mississippi River.
Julianne teaches English for the University of Wyoming and Communication for Upper Iowa University. She is also a freelance editor for narrative non-fiction, fiction, and academic authors.
Julianne Couch has lived part of her life with her back to the Rocky Mountains, another part with her back to the Mississippi River, and another part in the vast in-between middle. She’s lived in one big city, one sprawling suburb, two college towns, and now, a community of 2,100 people. She ponders why people live where they do and think what they do. These broad questions led her to study and write about disparate subjects, like what one can learn from hanging out in Wyoming bars, or why the fuel sources we transform into electricity are important to understand.
Julianne moved to Bellevue, Iowa, in 2011 and in 2015 added teaching for Upper Iowa University to her distance education duties. Julianne and her husband enjoy working on their endless home-restoration project, and cruising the Mississippi with their schipperke dog, Archie.
