Funding/Employment Opportunities: 

The program offers assistantships, scholarships, and fellowships. The program also offers teaching internships with Caldera Arts, professional writing internships with The Workhouse, and editorial internships with Cutthroat.

Other Features: 

Students attend two 10-day residencies each year, in June and November, at the Caldera Arts Center in Sisters, Oregon, located in an old-growth forest on the shores of the Blue Lake on the east side of the Cascade mountain range.

The program hosts a Distinguished Visiting Writers series, which has hosted writers Geraldine Brooks, CA Conrad, Karen Finneyfrock, Tiana Kahakauwila, Colleen Kinder, and James Prosek.

The priority application deadline is February 1 for the fall semester and September 1 for the spring semester. The final application deadline is April 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester.
