SPANK the CARP

SPANK the CARP publishes unique, thought-provoking fiction and poetry that isn't obscure or pretentious. Its goal is to invite readers to wade into the stream, not make them afraid of water for fear it's too cold. We look for tight, pithy Flash Fiction and Short Stories of any genre, including sci-fi and humor, except fantasy and erotica. We also look for poetry that takes chances, including concrete or "shape" poetry.

Spark: A Creative Anthology

From the editor: “My goal was to establish a high-quality, paying market where emerging authors and poets can gain professional experience alongside respected authors. We are looking for quality writing and artwork from any source, regardless of past publication history. We set the bar high in order to encourage young writers to continue to excel and develop their talents, and to maintain a publication to which established professionals are excited to submit.”

specs

specs (specifications, speculations . . .) is a journal that aims to produce a charged atmosphere around artistic and critical approaches. Hence, specs is willing to live in a constant state of flux, with the mission of propagating strange and involved sympathies between disparate genres and forms. We want to break down hierarchies between poems, fictions, and critical writing. We hope for seepages, warped conversations, and misappropriations between areas of content.

Spilled Milk Magazine

Spilled Milk Magazine is an online literary magazine for micro-fiction and nonfiction, poetry, art and photography. We created the magazine with the aim of establishing a space where you can read a highly caffeinated story or a few poems while you sip your coffee in lieu of the mindlessly scrolling through our infinite, mundane newsfeeds.

Spiral Orb

Spiral Orb is an experiment in permaculture poetics and poetry compost. Sections of each poem published in Spiral Orb are embedded with hyperlinks to other poems in Spiral Orb. A composite poem including a fragment from each piece in the issue serves as the entry poem and table of contents. The lyric cross-pollinates the experimental.
