The Deadly Writers Patrol seeks writing by veterans and others affected by war that addresses the challenges of understanding, witnessing, and homecoming. We believe writing can be a mirror reflecting the deepest corners of our spirits and psyches, express the reality of suffering, explore the possibility of healing, help us resolve problems, and achieve a deeper understanding of our common humanity. It also can bring us face to face with the parts of life that always will remain a mystery.
Tips From the Editor
The Deadly Writers Patrol (DWP) has published fiction, poetry, and memoir by and about veterans for over a decade. We look for writers with all ranges of publication experience, including previously unpublished writers and those who have not been affiliated with an MFA program. DWP is open to writing by veterans on any topic, but we are also open to writing by non-veterans that is directly concerned with issues related to war, survival, and healing.
