Editorial Focus

The Conium Review publishes innovative fiction. We like bizarre settings, experimental language, and unconventional plots. We are especially interested in work from women, LGBTQ authors, and writers of color. We publish an annual print edition, we regularly post flash fiction online, and we occasionally release chapbooks.

Tips From the Editor

Read our submission guidelines thoroughly, and pick up a copy of our journal to get a feel for our editorial style. Decide whether or not your piece is a good fit before you submit. We tend to publish work that might be overlooked by other journals. Push your writing to its narrative and stylistic limits, and don’t tell us a story we’ve already heard before.
