Editorial Focus
We adore the strange, new, and off-kilter, but above all we want work that speaks to something real. This doesn't mean we only like realistic prose and narrative poetry-far from it. We want you to look beyond the real to the truth buried beneath, then smuggle that truth back to us in your words.
We are, in some ways, a craft-oriented magazine. When we accept work, we also love to publish earlier drafts and notes that went into making it. To us, the process is just as important as the result.
Tips From the Editor
Take risks. We believe it is the goal of small magazines to not only publish great work, but to work with writers and give them the necessary criticism to grow and shape their voices. A brilliant failure is always more exciting than a poor imitation of good art.
