Editorial Focus

Founded in 2011, Paper Nautilus has a broad range of tastes. Our only criteria is quality, so whether you specialize in hybrid genres, minimalist experimental short stories, traditional sonnets, you name it—if it's done well, we want to see it. We believe in variety, and gravitate toward producing a magazine that's dynamic, eclectic, and refreshing in our selections. We also strive to support emerging writers, in addition to those already established in their careers, through both our annual print issue and our chapbooks.

Tips From the Editor

Please read submission guidelines carefully, and be sure to remove identifying information from your submission. Simultaneous submissions are encouraged, but please be sure to withdraw your work promptly if someone else snatches it up first. If only part of your submission is accepted elsewhere please be sure to note as such in the feature available in Submittable, so we can better keep track.
