Tips From the Editor

Too much political poetry is artless ranting. This is not what OccuPoetry looks for. OccuPoetry publishes poetry of a political nature, where the author takes seriously the craft of verse. We publish emerging poets alongside veterans. OccuPoetry has even published a few pieces that were the poet's first publication. Download our first two issues, browse through the Authors list, or listen as the poets speak for themselves. Reading OccuPoetry will give you the best idea of the variety and focus of what we consider to be political poetry.
