Editorial Focus

New Poetry in Translation is dedicated to publishing exceptional poetry from a diverse range of languages, cultures, and eras in translation. It seeks to establish a forum for featuring the most dynamic poetry being translated today–by both new and established authors and translators–and to connect readers with work that it feels deserves an international audience.

Tips From the Editor

We welcome submissions of previously unpublished poetry in English translation. We accept poetry translations (including prose poems) from any language and any time period. All necessary permissions must be secured by the translator before submitting. Simultaneous submissions are accepted. We strive to respond to all submissions within 4-6 weeks.
