Editorial Focus
We love literature. We love reading it, we love writing it, and we love talking about it. We also love delving into the "deep shelf" material of favorite authors and discovering exciting new voices. At the Midnight Oil, we seek to provide a venue where new and emerging writers can be published alongside established masters of their craft, where old favorites and new favorites collide, and you’ll find writing that will keep you reading into the wee hours of the morning, even when you know that you really should be getting to bed.

We do not provide book reviews, pull quotes, or endorsements of any kind. We do not subscribe to any mailing lists. We do not accept submissions via e-mail. Any e-mails that fall into these categories will be deleted unread, if you would like to submit, please follow the procedures outlined on our Submit page.
