Editorial Focus

Blue Lyra Review aims to bring together the voices of writers and artists from a diverse array of backgrounds, paying special homage to Jewish writers and other communities that are historically underrepresented in literary magazines but we do NOT exclude anyone or any quality writing. We accept poems (long & short & prose), artistic images, nonfiction and translations, which you can submit through Submittable. Fiction is by invitation only.

Tips From the Editor

We are not looking for horror or erotica or western or something that will be offensive (use your judgment!). Every editor says it but this should be your goal: leave us desiring more. Send us your very best! We only consider unpublished work. Unpublished work is one that has not appeared in any form of print or digital media, including personal or public blogs. We accept simultaneous submissions. Please withdraw if accepted elsewhere.
